Once again I'm working with a fairly tight schedule with hard deadlines, self-imposed deadlines, productivity goals, catching up from the move (seriously the glass doors on the cabinets need to go up TONIGHT aggh!), and I'm now taking a 1.5hr Systema class twice a week. Needless to say I am working on reconfiguring my training. On the plus side (BIG plus) not sharing a floor … [Read more...] about Kettlebell Strength and Mobility Workout with a Pump Stretch Prying Cobra Demo Video!

Revenge of the Franken-Workout!!
These past couple of weeks there have been a number of really cool ideas out there in the kettlebell and advanced fitness world. These combined with the need of the kettlebell small group to work on technique inspired me to create this intermediate-level full body kettlebell workout with a middle portion that focuses on fine tuning technique for kettlebell swings and snatches. … [Read more...] about Revenge of the Franken-Workout!!
Bizarre But Useful Kettlebell Workout: The Puppy and the Beast v2.0
Tested this one with an advanced friend... it's actually the 2nd version and I like it the best so far. We had a couple of odd social type interruptions but overall it went very well (and it got rid of my headache). Also, I have now seen in public doing swings with both the smallest kettlebell and the largest kettlebell that Dragon Door makes... hence the name of the … [Read more...] about Bizarre But Useful Kettlebell Workout: The Puppy and the Beast v2.0
Down by Twos… a Kettlebell and Bodyweight Workout
This is another fun "benchmark" workout that definitely let us all know where we are with our conditioning. Amusingly, the Primal Move warm up, Convict Conditioning Trifecta, the sequence and then the Primal Move cool down took about 40 minutes. According to my Armour39, during that 40 minutes, 409 calories were destroyed. That wasn't the goal, but it does explain why I eat … [Read more...] about Down by Twos… a Kettlebell and Bodyweight Workout
Sunday Night Practice Variation on Program Minimum Plus
It's Sunday night and I have spent a good part of this weekend doing (other people's) website work, reading, fielding an unbelievable number of text messages on a variety of subjects, chasing down FedEx, and honestly reviewing a WHOLE LOT of Beyond Organic goodies. Add to that feeling insanely jealous of my friends attending the Marketing Mastermind Intensive out in San … [Read more...] about Sunday Night Practice Variation on Program Minimum Plus
Something Simple, Something Brutal – a Kettlebell and Bodyweight Workout
Really interesting day - mostly fun even - one of the highlights before class was visiting the really cool no-nonesense studio Leanne Ellington has in Maitland - I may have gotten her hooked on the RKC/HKC style kettlebell swing - we had a blast discussing Primal Move, FMS, and quite honestly geeked out just a heck of a whole lot. I felt like having a simple class (even … [Read more...] about Something Simple, Something Brutal – a Kettlebell and Bodyweight Workout
Fried on Friday – Kettlebell Workout with Options…
My small group was feeling very ambitious today - grabbing the largest of the kettlebells that I had brought out - luckily for them, there were smaller ones available - which they eventually switched down to - but we had some fun - and they got to enjoy the fact that I stayed up until 4AM last night pouring over the new Convict Conditioning 2 eBook - (pdf format fyi) because I … [Read more...] about Fried on Friday – Kettlebell Workout with Options…
Monster Monday Kettlebell Workout – with Optional Sandbag
Monday's small group class was really inspired by the fact I brought them some "presents" from my visit to Tallahassee's Laurel Blackburn, RKC Level 2 AND Dragon Door distributor for the Southeast USA. Read about the first day of that visit: Girya Girl visits Tallahassee Kettlebell Day 1 Anyway, true to form I brought a few things back for them - a 28kg, 14kg, and a "women's" … [Read more...] about Monster Monday Kettlebell Workout – with Optional Sandbag
Double Trouble III – Let Me Give You a Complex – Kettlebell Workout
It was one of those "what am I missing" kind of days - I had been doing GTG* pull ups and tension exercises at random between household and computer tasks, but... it wasn't enough, I was getting antsy so I opted to just head out to the field next to my building with a pair of 16kg kettlebells and "see what happened" Here's what happened - feel free to follow along … [Read more...] about Double Trouble III – Let Me Give You a Complex – Kettlebell Workout
