After mentioning Space Girl Organics to a new friend on a recently flight, I was inspired to make a new (and somewhat better lit) unboxing video for today’s “standard vegetable fresh” delivery. I mean… I had to unpack it to put it all in the fridge anyway, right? So Karen I hope you enjoy this (or have time to watch) but here are the goodies I received today! (And how I plan to use at least some of it!)
Hoping to have time to set up that pro light kit bought expressly for how-to videos, but that may need to wait for this weekend. It’s a breakneck speed of madness around here… never a dull moment. This past week was an absolutely priceless opportunity to train with Master RKC Phil Ross (former UFC fighter, 8th degree black belt, and good friend) to brush up my RKC-II skills at his fantastic gym/dojo/studio in NJ.
After that I took the train back to NY just in time to see the 2nd round of performances at the street workout world cup. Gravity just doesn’t apply to some of those guys!!! Incredible and so inspiring. Ran into friends from real life and from Facebook just while standing in the audience! Too fun. And they gave me a Barstarzz hat too! 🙂 More on all this later, plus some take home tips you may find very useful too!
As you can see above I am very excited about Max Shank’s new Master the Kettlebell ebook. While it is only available in ebook format at the moment, I have been assured that the paperback version is on it’s way soon. You’ll know as that will be shouted about for sure! It’s a fully updated, upgraded, MODERN reference with the TOP kettlebell how-to for any level. LOVE IT.
RARE!!!!! “Girly girl Side Note” aka “omg makeup talk on GiryaGirl.com?!? WHAT??!?!?”
In the video I am actually wearing a tiny bit of makeup *gasp* it’s simply the mineral makeup from Youngevity. Now, before you go and try to make sense of their website and get “the rage” just contact me: adrienne @ giryagirl.com and we can talk about it. Their site drives me nuts, but I LOVE the products. In the video above I’ve started with the Youngevity waterless vitamin c serum (great for fine lines over time too… I had been using one from Keihl’s before switching to Youngevity’s after running out). After it has soaked in (takes just a minute) I apply a touch of moisturizer. When that has soaked in, using a kabuki brush I lightly apply the mineral powder foundation (yes I am super pale whatever) that I’d found after getting a little “sample tower” of light to medium foundations (also available in medium and medium to dark). There’s even a way to apply the $10 from the sample tower purchase towards your first foundation purchase too! After the foundation I contoured just a bit with a neutral bronzer lovely glow under the cheekbones and just a touch under the chin. (I’m forever stuck in the 1990s and am seriously amused that this practice is coming back… it’s great for photos especially for those of use with round faces like yours truly.) There…. now you know some of my “makeup secrets” when I bother to wear it… and I should bother to wear it more often as this stuff feels light and is easy to forget it’s even there. That’s the best kind of all.
Currently it’s still neck-in-neck with my old standby lightweight foundation Chanel VITALUMIÈRE Aqua… which is the only other that’s lightweight enough that it doesn’t irk me, and which carries a color that matches.
