Great explanation of power, speed, force development, and why you and/or the athletes you train need to work on these important skills. The DVD is very well organized into sections for upper body, lower body, full body power, and more. Some new approaches to plyometric exercises are in there as well. Plenty of really challenging drills which could easily be incorporated into your advanced boot camp or group circuit classes. I also saw a lot of drills which would be good for preparing clients for some of those obstacle course races which have recently become so popular.

Again, a fair amount of “football” application focus, but truth of the matter is these sort of drills and exercises are helpful for many sports, and not to mention are seriously intense conditioning tools. They don’t know it yet, but my small group is going to find a few of these filtered into their workouts from time to time.
Something else I really liked about the DVD, and this is kind of specific to my situation, but it is still significant. The DVD was a great example of how to turn video from a seminar into a nice, neat, well organized and very sellable product. The cameras used were not anything fancy (you guys didn’t white balance at least one of them from what I can tell – but no biggie…) but the videos were very well shot and showed what we needed to see. PDF Manual included on the DVD is also great – it would be nice to have a spiralbound version to have handy when watching the DVD or when planning workouts for yourself or athletes, but if this is the biggest beef I have with this program, then….. know what I mean? 🙂
