Wait.. WHAT? What do you mean by advanced regressions? Basically the regressions in the video below are for people who are very close to getting a first pistol squat or for those who want to start upping their rep ranges 🙂
In my opinion, the end-all-be-all reference for doing the infamous and coveted pistol squat (one leg squat) from the absolute very beginning is Convict Conditioning (if you really want to drill down, check out the DVD and Manual on the subject… some real gems in there). While there’s a little less detail (given the # of exercises covered in this book, it should be expected) there’s also some great tips for the pistol squat in Al Kavadlo’s Pushing the Limits (I am in quite a few photos there!) When you can do at least 1-2 pistols, or if you are very advanced he has some especially fun variations in there too.
