There’s so much material to share with you from the NYC trip that it’s frankly kind of overwhelming at the moment…
However, seeing as the cat is out of the bag (oh Facebook…) on the fun and informative podcast with father-daughter super-duo Master RKC Phil Ross and Nykki Ross, I wanted to share it here ASAP. To be fair, I didn’t tell them that I usually upload to the podcast site then wait until iTunes grabbed it before doing the promo. It does tell me though that they’re subscribed to the podcast, and ultimately that’s what we want!!! 🙂 But, even if you’ve already listened to the podcast linked on this post (scroll below the video), keep reading here… especially since there’s a video of Phil teaching me a really wild and advanced (try only at your own risk!) kettlebell drill called the bottoms-up crescent swing.
KEEP YOUR EYES ON THE KETTLEBELL! Outfit notes: please note that those rockin’ mesh-inset cropped tights are from my friends at Affitnity and the top is one of the new designs from Hylete! (Possibly amusing backstory: I was given that particular top while at the Dragon Door Health and Strength Conference since it was definitely going to look better than what I had on at the time for helping Mike Gillette with his demonstration/speech about Rings of Power!)
This podcast is like everything I do… unscripted and mostly unedited (I didnt even have to do that to this one or the previous one other than trimming the ends)! This episode starts out as a cool conversation with Nykki and then a little bit into it, about 1/3 or so, right on cue if there had been one, in walks Master RKC Phil Ross! So of course we invite him into the conversation. His gym with the entire floor covered with wonderful martial arts mats wall-to-wall was oddly ideal for recording. Nykki and I were just sitting on the floor, and Phil sat down with us and joined the podcast seamlessly. I hope you enjoy the recording as much as we enjoyed recording it for you! In the podcast we reference Phil’s tremendous DVD and manual set, The Kettlebell Workout Library. Tremendous as in there’s *8* count them, EIGHT DVDs involved with this!

For those curious to see more of Phil’s Kettlebell Workout Library, it’s one of the items that I show off in this (I’ve been told very amusing) recording of a live broadcast from the hostel in NYC. You”ll also see my dinner and some of the interesting surroundings (which include disco-tacular lighting). I’m planning to do more with live video as soon as I get a couple things figured out. But be sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel if you haven’t already so you can be the first to know more!
