Once again, a terrible leave of abscence… I hope that none of you have had the flu this season but I got hit by a real hum-dinger of one. I had just returned home from a fantastic adventure that I wanted to tell you all about, but quickly had to put that on hold as I only had the energy to do the most basic of work stuff (to you know, keep the lights on and the rent paid). The good news is, I was still able to complete a couple of really fun interviews for Dragon Door and have saved notes from all the stuff I didn’t have a chance to write up for you yet (including some super fun workouts).
Probably around next week I’ll feel up to making some new videos for you too, including a neat calisthenics drill I learned out of town while taking a really great Systema class. You don’t need to even study martial arts of any kind to enjoy this particular move, and I just LOVE how self-scaling it is. Glad I had the opportunity to already teach it to one person locally.
In the mean time, please enjoy these interviews – the first one linked came out yesterday and is with author and investigative journalist, Scott Carney. It’s funny, but I’d never really had the chance to talk with an investigative journalist before, and Scott’s fearless, blunt style was a real treat on our call. And it’s not every day I get to talk to someone who’s climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro basically “half naked”. I didn’t hold back with the questions and he certainly didn’t hold back with the answers! 🙂 Click here to check out the interview. I’d suggest that if you’re interested in Wim Hof and the Wim Hof Method you not only get the newest Wim Hof book from Dragon Door The Way of The Iceman, but also Scott’s book, What Doesn’t Kill Us. I read it in anticipation of interviewing Scott, but enjoyed the book so much that I kept having to remind myself that I was “reading it for work and should be taking notes”. LOL 🙂
This post brought to you by gallons of bone broth and cold brew coffee… I can’t wait to get back to training asap.
