There’s always too much to talk about! First of all, just got back from the first ever SCC (Strength Calisthenics Certification) Workshop in NYC. The SCC is a new 1 day, jam-packed with info calisthenics workshop and certification from Dragon Door. It’s so new that there aren’t new ones to sign up for yet! Will keep you posted. But this past weekend was a giant success and the people who showed up were just fantastic. Here’s Al Kavadlo’s recap blog post so you can see some of the cool photos from the event too.
In other news, also last weekend, the brand new interview with Master RKC Dan John came out! It was great to interview him again, especially since so much has happened since our first interview years ago. There’s a lot of great ideas, training philosophy, Dan-John-isms and of course several good chuckles in there too. Rememeber, “Keep the goal the goal.”
And even though I had some super annoying connectivity issues on Monday, I managed to squeak in a video episode of MonkeyBarMonday for you!
Last but not least, I’ve been enjoying the productivity benefits of using this neat little online timer. Click on the “FAQ” button to learn more about how to use it. I like to use it to time my “exercise snacks” throughout the day. For example, I’ll work for 25 mins solid, then for 5 minutes (or 10 if it’s time for a longer break) I’ll practice a strength, skill, or stretching move… and/or maybe do some small chore. P.S. I finally got around to writing up a little product review for the Neuro-Grips from Dragon Door… I’ve made videos with them for over two years after all! (two most relevant ones are embedded in the review by the way) The new version is awesome, improved construction AND lower price!
