First, please understand that I have been enjoying Click and Grow Smart Gardens for now a little over two years! In that time, I’ve managed to grow all of the fresh herbs and most of my own salad greens. As we all know, there’s this phenomenon when buying cilantro and other delicate fresh herbs – we use as much as the dish(es) call for and then the rest of it magically turns into slime over night! (Yes, cilantro, I am calling you out!) Same with delicate baby lettuces and specialty greens – if you don’t use a purchased bag soon enough or if there’s a little left over it seems to go bad almost immediately.
For my situation, a Click and Grow Smart Garden 27 and a little strategy solved these issues completely. In fact, so much so that I have two of them now going (the photo above is from when I first set up the second one!) When I get the timing right, I can pretty much harvest enough salad for a large meal any time! The other part of the strategy is to buy bulk packs of mixed greens and keep them going and rotating – which is extremely easy and rewarding.
Want to give it a try yourself? There’s a big sale on both the Smart Garden 27 and the Click and Grow 25 which grows almost as many plants but in a different form factor (which may work better for you) and a built in 5 week modular growing cycle feature. Click and Grow is easy and rewarding to use – and there’s something very special about starting the day by checking on them (even though they can do well on their own for up to about two weeks!)
While I will be writing a “two years with Click and Grow” article soon, please be sure to check out the “one year with Click and Grow” article from last year – it’s very detailed and I hope you love it! 🙂
