Visiting Fitcamp – a Workout for Cold (Florida) weather!

February 24, 2012 By Adrienne Leave a Comment

Much fun was had last night at Tim Shuman, RKCII's 6pm kettlebell Fitcamp... first off, it was cold (which is probably laughable to people up North, but I am personally optimized for extreme heat, if it gets below 60 degrees I need a jacket), which to me was 50 Degrees F or below. And girl genius here had ran out the door without socks on.  Fortunately I got there early and ran … [Read more...] about Visiting Fitcamp – a Workout for Cold (Florida) weather!

Recognize anyone at 0:36 doing one hand swings? It was fun, it was challenging, I don't remember her asking me all those questions...? What do you think - could you do it? Are you ready for a challenge? … [Read more...] about Orlando RKC 2010 Full Recap Video! See if you recognize anyone!

RKC Prep Assorted Questions!!!

April 11, 2011 By Adrienne Harvey Leave a Comment

A fellow forum user on the Dragon Door website messaged several questions about preparation for the RKC certification weekend - here are some of her questions with my answers, maybe some of them will be useful to you too! K: Would you say that the volume was the most challenging aspect of the weekend? What else should I know? Adrienne: The volume was definitely way way up … [Read more...] about RKC Prep Assorted Questions!!!

Unintended New Skill Learned from the RKC Workshop: Extreme Time Management

April 4, 2011 By Adrienne Harvey Leave a Comment

You've heard "timing is everything" before, it's a cliche, but sometimes holds true in certain situations - especially crazy ones.  I'm going to share a few of my time management strategies for dealing with things like quick move outs, root canals, busted transmissions, selling and buying a car, learning to drive stick then relying on it immediately, and then singing in front … [Read more...] about Unintended New Skill Learned from the RKC Workshop: Extreme Time Management

Borrowed Backayrd Workout

Just a little video of some things I was trying in a friend's backyard last week - form corrections and suggestions are welcomed and encouraged... I already saw that the "clean" portion of the double snatch needs to be closer... oops :/ at least I can see that now! … [Read more...] about Having fun in a borrowed backyard….

A little something I call the “One Skillet Challenge”

March 7, 2011 By Adrienne Harvey Leave a Comment

I have had a disproportionate number of strange adventures and living situations in my 34 years, and in that time have also developed some unusual methods of preparing good food with just a few items.   Also.... some days you just don't want to wash a ton of pots and pans.  While I don't think that there is anything in the "A Man A Can and a Plan" cookbook that is unprocessed … [Read more...] about A little something I call the “One Skillet Challenge”

Just for fun…. entered a video for the recent Diesel Crew Strength Challenge –

February 27, 2011 By Adrienne Harvey Leave a Comment

So pleased that they finally did a "relative strength" challenge - since most of their challenges are on the absolute side and well frankly, aimed at men.   Relative strength evens things out a bit, though it is rare (I would love to change this...) for women to be as into pull ups and bodyweight training as I am... yes its a hobby and I am admittedly just a bit obsessive about … [Read more...] about Just for fun…. entered a video for the recent Diesel Crew Strength Challenge –

In Case You Missed It! DragonDoor.tv

February 10, 2011 By Adrienne Harvey Leave a Comment

The new episode of DragonDoor.tv includes a video clip of me assembling Girya Girl Style Bacon Cheeseburger as the Dragon Dish! Enjoy the whole program though - DragonDoor.tv is always informative and entertaining. I met the host of the show, Amanda Salas, on the shuttle bus to the Orlando RKC site back in October. We had too much fun twittering back and forth and being silly - … [Read more...] about In Case You Missed It! DragonDoor.tv
