I really enjoyed talking with Mike Medrano, a recently certified RKC Instructor who is a pro MMA fighter, and also just an all around very cool guy. His lifelong interest in lifting and athletics have helped form his unique year round approach to training. Check out his interview here on DragonDoor.com. Yesterday, Dragon Door celebrated reaching over 60,000 likes on their official Facebook page by offering free shipping for the contiguous USA on everything for 24hrs only. Circuit Workout for Kettlebells and Muscle Ropes — with Mini Product Review!
The following post is sponsored by FitFluential LLC on behalf of Muscle Ropes. Our kettlebell small group is a tough crowd. While most of our workouts focus on kettlebell exercises and bodyweight exercises, we love to mix in some other simple tools from time to time. One of our collective favorites is a battle rope like the one pictured above which was sent to us for … [Read more...] about Circuit Workout for Kettlebells and Muscle Ropes — with Mini Product Review!
Woah it’s been a while! Outsourcing, NYC, Al Kavadlo, Equinox, RKC Love and MORE!
Wow, I feel like a slacker after I see how long it's been since I've made a blog post. There are so many sitting in the queue half-finished right now that it's a bit embarrassing. Needless to say a lot is going on, and thanks to a well placed "inspired by the 4-Hour Work Week" article in an airline magazine, I've decided to experiment further with outsourcing. The … [Read more...] about Woah it’s been a while! Outsourcing, NYC, Al Kavadlo, Equinox, RKC Love and MORE!

A Challenge, A Weekend Workout, Chocolate Reviews and Other Important Stuff
Its always fun to visit other gyms, hang out etc. Inside is very nice, but of course we had to get grungy and throw tires around, push prowlers, and swing kettlebells instead. Inside we did a Primal Move warm up, played with the really great pull up bar setup (I managed to do another couple muscle ups), and then some really weird pull ups on this very bizarre and hard to hang … [Read more...] about A Challenge, A Weekend Workout, Chocolate Reviews and Other Important Stuff

Halloween, Primal Move, Kettlebells and all that good stuff
First off, HAPPY HALLOWEEN, everyone! :) Feel free to grab a pumpkin (not carved, that's cheating) and use it to do some Russian Twists, or as a medicine ball replacement! I have some friends who have developed pumpkin-based boot camp workouts! Even though I am a total "choco-snob" there's a distinct chance that I will probably eat a "fun size" Snickers or maybe a Reeces … [Read more...] about Halloween, Primal Move, Kettlebells and all that good stuff
Ask GiryaGirl: Convict Conditioning for Women, Why not 1,000 swings?
Last week was the NPE Mega Training seminar/workshop/event, and I was around to help out and occasionally answer questions, etc. at the Dragon Door table. If you were there, please say hello! I'm currently playing "phone tag" with some new local contacts and reviewing/organizing notes from all the really great presentations. Of course it's always a lot of fun to hear Dan … [Read more...] about Ask GiryaGirl: Convict Conditioning for Women, Why not 1,000 swings?
Product Review: Dragon Door Kettlebells
They keep getting better and better, honestly - the ones which were at the Orlando RKC had a really nice finish on them, no need for sanding or dremel grinding - which was very good considering I had left such tools at home. I remember thinking how much I liked the one that I used for the snatch test, and how the handle was smooth and perfectly shaped to travel around the … [Read more...] about Product Review: Dragon Door Kettlebells
