Most but not all of you may know about Dragon Door’s new blogs – the RKC Blog and the Progressive Calisthenics Blog. Both are still fairly new, but the articles are varied and often very relevant to most people who love these modes of training. I’ve even found tips which have helped greatly with some of my clients. Its also a great resource to send your advanced clients to as well. Often an all-star cast of characters including authors show up to comment, so make sure to jump into the discussions over there!
Today I have a post on the Progressive Calisthenics Blog about a subject that is sometimes overlooked in training. We get so caught up in beating a clock or a rep range, or the rep range that our buddy is doing that we can end up with faulty movement patterns or even worse… injury. So check it out – there’s some mention of psychological stuff too!
Speaking of psychological stuff, I am still working on the “Highlights of Pep Talk Week” the blog post and it’s ending up rather voluminous! Visiting a dog park with a friend of many years and her 2 puppies (big puppies) was a needed break today – something about watching a bunch of dogs having a great time (and jumping in and out of the lake) is just extra special. What’s really funny is how the dogs don’t seem to notice or care about their size differences… like my friend’s lab mix and then the other is a timber wolf shepard mix. They think they’re identical twin brothers though, and who is to tell them otherwise!
