Laughing about what I bought yesterday – basically a whole bunch of things that I eat regularly – and had run out or low on – then realized it was a carload of what I “run on.”* Here’s a short list – and since many of these things are habitually consumed, some are purchased in bulk. I’m already figuring out how much ground grass fed beef I eat in a typical week (it’s staggering and moderately hilarious) so I can set up my Beyond Organic autoship and never ever have to “slum it” with regular old ground beef again! Here’s what came back in the car with me:
- Bag of 5 avocados
- 2 bulk logs of goat cheese
- 3lbs of walnuts
- 1 case San Pellegrino sparking water
- 1 Box of Larabars (to be shared with my videographer buddy who needs on the go stuff that isn’t terrible)
- 1.5lbs “criminally thick” bacon
- 1.5lbs chicken breast (already cooked into a curry via crock pot)
- Bag of almond flour
- Cans of organic coconut milk
- Multiple bars of Lindt 85% Dark Chocolate (it’s on sale, normally I buy Green&Black’s)
- Box of organic mixed salad greens
- 1.5lbs top sirloin steak (I slice off pieces for breakfast/lunches)
And to answer your next question, I will most likely end up eating all of this myself – on Saturday I’ll be visiting a friend’s organic farm in the next town and will replenish the veggie selection – for th curious – right now I have onions, acorn squash, butternut squash, frozen organic broccoli & spinach, and one bag of saurekraut left.
*America may “run on Dunkin” I run on the stuff listed above.
