Keep Learning, Stay Curious

Keep Learning, Stay Curious

First off… new workouts coming soon (I’ve been doing them and writing them for others but unfortunately having enough time to share them here) That will change AND soon we’ll have workouts coming in a whole new form (still posting them as always, but adding a cool new product/project for you).

Anyway here’s some thoughts!

What can we learn from solving a given problem…

Lately I’ve been keeping the following idea in mind – what can I learn from doing/solving X. Then I thought about writing down the things I learn or learn how to do each day… then balked at this because I’m moving so fast that I’m already behind in writing things down!

Totally OK with that problem. The idea I wanted to share with you is when faced with an uphill problem that you have no idea how to solve, instead of focusing on the “impossible” nature of it, consider all the things you’ll learn along the way to solving the issue. It’s part of why I’m putting together that crazy robot dog, and how I choose my hobby or business-adjacent projects.

Helping our local Masks for Docs group 3d print and assemble face shields for several weeks seriously leveled up my skills in 3d printing as well as 3d design and visualization. On top of all that, I met new friends who are programming high level machine vision applications in Python.

Creating online courses for clients–especially for one of my largest corporate clients–taught me TONS along the way. Eventually that helped me teach someone else how to create courses and save a very large contract (they had planned to deliver the info at an in-person event… then well… yeah).

I plan to keep learning, adapting and staying curious. Hope you will too. And it’s not too late to start.

And if you’re curious, here’s more about the robot dog:
