Podcast Week? I'm a Guest on the Hammer Shed Podcast & Look What You Can Do with the New Pull Up Bar!!
Hurrah! I was a guest on the Hammer Shed Podcast recently, and it looks like the page updated today! Click here to listen and check it out - it's interesting to be the guest instead of the host, and requires actually being mindful to not snap into "host mode" and start asking the questions... caught myself a couple times, but it seems to have ended up just fine :) There's a lot of great episodes over there in fact, with people you may already know! Bret Hamilton, who was hosting the Hammer Shed Podcast that day is also a Instructor, along with his awesome wife, Megan Hamilton. The both attended and passed the several months ago in New York. They both train groups and individuals at Constant Forward Progress gym near Portland, Oregon. You should also know... that they're hosting an SCC workshop there in February 2017. Hope to see you there! :)
In other news, I managed to assemble (and record an assembly video... which needs to be edited) the new Dragon Door Bodyweight Master Free Standing Pull Up Bar! I love it!!! :) Was super thrilled and livestreamed some fun goofiness, which will also be edited down and put up on YouTube ASAP. In the mean time, YES, you CAN flag on it...
I love this thing!!! :) They added a FAQ file to the pull-up bar page today as well - check it out here!
More info soon, but there will be a lot of fun livestreams happening on Facebook and youtube! Don't miss out! Watch this space as well as's Facebook Page. I'm also going to share some fun rebroadcasts later as well.
For now, check out these fun videos I made for you earlier this week (Burpees theme is unintentional... I dunno why that happened!)
Testing Facebook Live withExercises and Burpees!
Drone Fun (and burpees)!
This week’s guest is PCC Team Leader Matt Schifferle, “The Fit Rebel” and founder of The Red Delta Project website and the impressive Red Delta Project YouTube channel! He was recently promoted to Team Leader and is a fantastic example of someone who has really worked hard on the way to that leadership position.
He has been training clients in Colorado and producing a TON of content for YEARS online. I hope you enjoy our conversation and insights as much as we did. We could have easily kept going for another hour I think! Rest assured there will be a part two. And not to sound like I used Matt, but our conversation helped me solidify a few things that I’d been trying to organize for a very large project…
I'm always scouting around for cool locations for videos etc. to keep things interesting. This past weekend I hit a small jackpot! I found a new extremely bright mural near what used to be Forbidden City (and according to someone working on the property, it's soon to be another location of the beloved local fusion restaurant, Tako Cheena. So, pretty much good news for everyone. Mills50 is becoming even more of a great food destination.
During's Black Friday Sale I bought two oddly sized , a 26kg for me (I am once again working towards the Iron Maiden Challenge... which requires a pull-up, pistol, and with a ...so you see what I'm doing there) and a for bottom-up presses, etc. and to challenge a specific client with it... is also just a great interim size for various mobility drills as well. But more on that later.
I've been a huge fan of ever since encountering them on the photoshoot for Jon Bruney's Neuro-Mass. While versions of these have existed for some time out there in the world, until now people have usually had to make them or have a welder friend construct them. Now you can simply buy them from . The new ones are made of steel and are improved in many ways from the first version (which I also have a pair of those). First off, in a rare case of win-win the new construction method is not only superior, but also results in a lower price! The new ar
