Ever have one of those trips where you come back and you know you've changed in some way? This was definitely one of those! And I mean that in a good way. There was no shortage of adventure and excitement this past weekend in Austin, Texas. In fact for one of the more action packed parts, I am only half-joking about exaggerating it a little and writing it up as a screenplay... I've already cast Danny Trejo as one of the villains. Long story short, we are unstoppable.
Back to theand ... I led the on Saturday, and Senior Paul Britt led the on Sunday. The folks that showed up to each workshop (and some showed up for both) were extremely impressive not only with their physical abilities, but with their professionalism, experience, and understanding of the human condition.

Every now and then, friends and former clients who've moved away will send along a video of theirswing. "Does this look right?!" or "What am I doing wrong?!" etc. And before we even get to the fact of the different legitimate styles of swings (I practice and teach the hardstyle swing, but there's also a GS "Girvoy Sport" style of swing, CrossFit etc.), there are tons of very questionable videos out there online. The questionable videos are often aimed at women and that of course drives me bonkers. So, with very little prompting it's easy enough to get me to run outside and shoot a video or two to help people who might need a few pointers to really dial-in their hardstyle swings.
Ask GiryaGirl: Is Convict Conditioning OK for Women? Are there Prerequisites for the HKC? And A SERIOUS Interview!
Could have SWORN that I'd answered the first question before, and maybe I have, but I also forget what day it is on a semi-regular basis given that sometimes enough interesting things happen in 1/4 of a day to account for a full day.
