Day 2 - #GiryaGirlGame Scavenger Hunt

It's time for the 2nd assignment!!!!!
Please read all the rules and instructions if you haven't already on the main page: Scavenger Hunt Instructions and Rules.

Again, another somewhat easy one, please take an instagram picture of your FAVORITE kettlebell. Feel free to tell us why it's the favorite (practical and/or sentimental reasons are both valid)  Above all, remember to follow the instructions as linked above so that your entry counts!  This is only the 2nd assignment, so if you missed out on the first one, no worries - you can still be in the running to win starting with this one, and completing all the rest :)

Here's the first assignment - and for many of you this will be SERIOUSLY easy.   Take a picture of a currently certified (and in good standing )RKC, RKC2, HKC, or Primal Move instructor.   Do them a huge favor when you post your entry by also linking to their instructor page if you wish.   If YOU are an instructor of the above kind, then you've got it very easy - a "selfie" is totally acceptable... I'll start with my example.

3 Tips for Swinging HEAVY Kettlebells From Someone Light

So, you think you have a pretty decent "handle" on the kettlebell swing, or if not, don't go heavy yet. However, when we THINK we have a good grasp of the swing with our usual kettlebell, grabbing a heavier one can make it feel like a whole new challenge. OR... more likely it just decides to show you everything you might be doing wrong. While I don't mind swinging with light or moderate kettlebells on occasion, it's always with the same mental intention as a heavy one. Light swings almost become a kind of isometric and timing exercise in an abstract sense. I ran into this idea just the other day while demonstrating a part of the swing at an intro session - the kettlebell was so light that I had to really concentrate to make it "look right" and "feel right" as a demo. It was an extreme example of swinging something light like it is heavy.   <-----MORE----->

My First Time Leading a Certification Workshop - Primal Move Winter Park Florida

Its no secret that I'm nuts about Primal Move.  Ever since being introduced to it in Seattle, I've enjoyed adding it to my small group's sessions, and exploring the movements at home. They've had a great effect on my own practice and have added infinite value to my CK-FMS knowledge. And while I was a little nervous to teach the first ever Primal Move Certification Workshop here in Florida—and the first certification workshop I have ever personally led—the awesome vibe of the people who showed up made it a total JOY. Which is really what Primal Move is all about.
